Tenancy Handbook
The Salvation Army
Engaging tenants and service users to help them understand the help and support available to them.

Tenancy Handbook
The Salvation Army Homelessness Services exists to help and support those in our society who are vulnerable, helping individuals who face homelessness, whether that is rough sleepers or those struggling to find appropriate accommodation or are unable to cope with living in the community without the necessary support and help with substance misuse, mental health and general well-being.

Objective
We needed to produce an information booklet aimed at helping service users identify and understand what help and support was available to them and more importantly how to find it.
The design needed to be engaging and easy-to-follow to ensure that it had maximum impact with its target audience.
Response
The design utilised bright colours which helped to visually engage the service users, but also acted as a quick reference to find the relevant sections of information.
The design cleverly blended a bold, confident font, with a more humanistic and soft handwritten font, to help ensure the information was accessible and legible, but also inviting and open.
Summary
The final booklet was very well received, with service users reporting back that they found it very easy to use and helped them to understand all the support on offer to them.
Due to the response from service users, this same design is looking to be carried throughout the rest of their information booklets.
