Annual Report 2014/15
The Salvation Army
A celebration of 150 years since William Booth founded the Salvation Army.

Annual Report 2014 to 2015
The Salvation Army Homelessness Services exists to help and support those in our society who are vulnerable, helping individuals who face homelessness, whether that is rough sleepers or those struggling to find appropriate accommodation or are unable to cope with living in the community without the necessary support and help with substance misuse, mental health and general well-being.

Objective
This years annual report was a very important one as it marked 150 years since William Booth founded the Salvation Army.
The theme therefore, of this years annual report, was to visually depict how his teachings were still just as relevant today as they were when he first founded the organisation.
Response
The cover featured a cut-out of the number 150 to reveal behind, a montage of William Booth, made up of portrait photographs of just some of the service users helped that year. This was created to represent how William Booth’s passion for saving souls, still resonated today.
It also featured full bleed photography and highlighted real life stories and quotes to help authenticate and humanise the people behind the service.
Summary
The final outcome gave the Salvation Army not only an annual report, but it also allowed them to visually document how William Booth’s vision for the service that the Salvation Army offers is just as strong as it was when it was founded, 150 years ago.
