Annual Report 2015/16
The Salvation Army
Challenging perceptions and seeing the real people behind the label of homelessness.

Annual Report 2015/16
The Salvation Army Homelessness Services exists to help and support those in our society who are vulnerable, helping individuals who face homelessness, whether that is rough sleepers or those struggling to find appropriate accommodation or are unable to cope with living in the community without the necessary support and help with substance misuse, mental health and general well-being.

Objective
It was imperative that the annual report humanised the people at the heart of the services offered. It had to be authentic, approachable and above all heart-warming, allowing the emphasis to be on the individual success stories attributed to the great service offered by the Salvation Army.
Response
The design utilised authentic full bleed photography along-with extracting and highlighting real stories and quotes from service users and staff members found within the main body copy to help emphasise the successes behind the services.
A soft, simple, earthy colour palette was used throughout the report to help with a visual feel of approach-ability and open feel.
Summary
The final outcome exceeded the clients expectations and resulted in Collaborative being awarded the 2016 – 2017 annual report.
